When we were planning our honeymoon, I thought it would be fun for us to take surfing lessons, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. So several years later I got the chance while in Hawaii. Jason had a work trip and I joined him to explore Waikiki while he was in meetings during the day. To keep myself busy, I signed up for hula lessons, a tour of Shangri La, ukelele lessons, and surf lessons! My instructor, Manny Vargas was a world champion bodyboarder known as "La Cucaracha." He took us to an area of Waikiki where the waves are gentler. We practiced on the beach first, then in the water. It was a great day!
Jason and I had a lovely time exploring the Oahu and even took a weekend trip to Kauai.
