With a little help from Phillip Hebb, I got to practice driving his manual transmission car. After warming up in an empty parking lot, I got out on the city streets and drove through downtown Atlanta. I only stalled 3 times! I'm still not too confident, but now I know I can do it if I have to.
As part of the driving experience, Philip invited me to join him at the BMW Performance Center to pick up his new car. We were coached by a Formula One racer on the basics of driving a high performance car on the track, and then they let us try out a variety of BMWs. It was an amazing experience. I got to drive super fast, skid, and test out the braking system on several cars. I would totally do this again!
